Here at Youth Hubz we have a trauma-informed and person-centred approach to support and encourage young people to co-produce our services from planning activities to defining service agreements to choosing curtain colours.
We take pride in the way we care and create a home which is by creating a caring, loving, and fun environment. We manage this by doing lots of fun activities such as arts and crafts, cooking, and baking, playing games, watching movies, and listening to music. Hazelcroft is located close to local facilities with a wide range of shops. Close to transport links for both trains and buses which will provide the young person with flexible opportunities to access and experience a variety of activities and interests.
A team staff member has the responsibility for ensuring that the environment of the home is maintained to a high standard. We aim to ensure that our house reflects that of a family home where young people feel safe, relaxed, and cared for in a non-institutionalised setting. Young people are also encouraged to use the kitchen for the preparation of food, helping them to develop their skills through weekly cook and eat sessions.
