About us

Care Hubz is a brand-new provision providing mid to long term residential care for vulnerable children with emotional, behavioural difficulties and associated complex needs. Enabling them to have the best possible quality of life in a community residential setting.
We are developing a great reputation for providing specialised care for young people with challenging behaviours in 24-hour supervised housing setting.
Our service is available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, including national and public holidays. We provide services during the day, sleep over services and/or waking nights.
Our key objectives are:

1. Promote independence through tailored support by focusing on each young person’s individual care plan in cooperation with their designated social worker.

2. Ensuring safety, stability, and security for all our service users.

3. Providing a safe, secure, and private environment which promotes equality.

4. Encourage health and well-being through exercise and healthy eating

5. Develop regular routines by encouraging community events, curfews and monthly house meetings where young people can express their views and wishes.

6. Provide training in several areas to develop independence skill such as cooking, cleaning, healthy eating, personal hygiene, household maintenance, gardening – including growing own fruit and vegetables -, budgeting, applying, and maintaining benefits.

Our History
Care Hubz was founded by the director of Youth Hubz after a successful 3 years within the 16+ sector.
Care Hubz is a private limited company, a sister to Youth Hubz and Barkers properties. Care Hubz specialises in the provision of Ofsted-registered children’s homes in West Yorkshire area.

Workforce
Here at Care Hubz we believe staff are vital to ensure the smooth delivery of our service.
We recognise the need for carers with a special mix of personal qualities, experience, skills, and knowledge, who are professionally committed, effectively trained and properly supported to deliver therapeutic care. All carers joining the company are subject to a six-month probation.
We have a dedicated HR Team that proactively manages employee engagement and measures staff performance. All our staff are supported and trained to manage the workload. We ensure this by carrying out monthly supervisions and annual appraisals.

Policies and procedures
Care Hubz has a robust and comprehensive set of policies and procedures that support best practise and legislative requirements. There are reviewed annually to ensure consistency and relevance.
Insurance Cover
Our staff members are fully ensured through employer’s liability insurance cover and full public liability insurance, proportionate with the level and extent of activities undertaken.

Our flagship home in leeds has 3 bedrooms for residents (with en-suite bathrooms), an open plan living/dining area, a fully-fitted kitchen, an office, an en-suite bedroom for night staff, a utility room and a landscaped garden.
